China is over 5000 years a great country with a great history. China deserves respect for it’s imense task to give over 1.3 billion people a decent life. My posts will adress my daily Shenzhen life perspective on this great country. My posts will be always optimistic and positive. Not because I always support Chinese decision making, but because I have respect for the challenges that China already has overcome and in the future will overcome. Chinese people are hard working, optimistic and warm. Through my posts I hope you will share my vision.
The Shanghai Daily published some interesting figures about foreigners in China. The amount of foreigners hits the 0,04% mark for the first time in recorded Chinese history! Many countries have 5% to 10% foreigners living between the borders, in China the figure is therefore extremely low.
Soon this mark will go up. Many provinces and cities under the 12th 5 year plan are inviting more foreign professionals to come to China and work in companies and even in the government. Currently there are 594.000 foreigners in China. There are not many countries in the world still inviting with open arms groups of foreign professionals. China will offer the next 5 years great Career opportunities for a number of professions, and even subsidize schools, housing & living. So start to learn your Mandarin!
